In his audiobook, Through the Dark Wood, James Hollis speaks about the importance of regaining personal authority in the second half of life. This sketch is a contemplation of personal authority, with a group of people holding up their own banners and walking under their own flags and steering their own destiny while bringing their own gifts to the light of day. This work can be placed at the end of the Visibility body of work if it were seen as a linear narrative; with the individual empowered instead of merely being a victim to larger forces at play. I advocate empowered individuals inside or outside an organisation, as opposed to an organisation with puppets or minions that executes tasks, in short, I advocate initiative as opposed to obedience.
