Book Design

Riaan Wilmans is an artist and designer specialising in book design. As a book designer, his experience includes designing book covers and typesetting books for local and international publishers across a range of publishing sectors. His notable past clients include HSRC Press in South Africa, Penguin Random House South Africa, Real African Publishers in South Africa, Wits Press in South Africa, UCT Press also in South Africa, Boydell & Brewer in the United Kingdom, Royal Collins Publishing in China, as well as self-publishing authors in South Africa and internationally. His past design-related employment includes Maskew Miller Learning, Pearson Institute of Higher Education, Etiket Brand Design, and Insite Landscape Architects.

Riaan offers a comprehensive Book Launch Package, which brings together cover design, editorial illustration, typesetting, ebook conversion, ecommerce website design, and book advertising design. 

Visual Art

As a visual artist, Riaan exhibited at various art shops and art galleries. He completed and exhibited his latest body of work titled Visibility (2016–2019) at Trent Gallery as well as Respek Gallery in Pretoria in 2019. His current Being & Representation Series is in development. His visual art categories include traditional art, conceptual art, surrealist art, and commissioned interior and architectural art.
