eBook Conversion Process

Before we can create an ebook version of your book, the manuscript needs to be edited by a professional editor.

Once the manuscript has been edited it is ready to be converted to an ebook. At this stage, the conversion is done with InDesign to EPUB.

Adjustments are made where necessary, which include changes to the following:

• Cover dimensions and resolution
• eBook ISBN
• Paragraph styles
• Character styles
• Table styles
• Page breaks
• Interactive table of contents, and the
• Metadata.

Once these changes have been made, the file is tested on the Kindle e-reader device and a Kindle desktop app, as well as Apple Books, and the Calibre e-reader desktop app. Further changes might be required for the elements listed above.

Once the e-book design has been completed, and the file tested and approved by quality control standards, and the EPUB file, which includes the front cover, is sent to the client for review. Additional changes within reasonable limits are made to the e-book until the Client is satisfied.
